After bidding a fond Aloha to Ko Olina, we headed east to Waikiki.
| Our first night there we joined family for dinner and arcade time at the Fun Factory. |
Then the next day, we took a trolley over to the Children's Discovery Museum, Ala Moana and of course- a birthday dinner at Angelo Pietro's (it's an addiction that began back in '95 or so). Ryan was completely enthralled by the museum. We were there from about a half hour after opening and then
shut. the. place. down. That kid wasn't going to leave until the lights were turned off. I regret not having taken him last year...that place is awesome for the toddler/preschooler crowd!
| Note: Next time, glue slippers to Ryan's feet before letting him sit on the outside. |
| Who cares about the Largest Ball of Twine when you can see the World's Largest Aloha shirt instead? |
Since I have about four hundred pics from that day...here are a few of my favorites:

| Dr. Ryan dealing with yet another melodramatic hypochondriac patient (turns out all he had was a skinned elbow). |

| Hands down...the best part of the museum. They had a children's sized wheelchair with a route for them to navigate themselves around so that they could experience what it might feel like to be wheelchair bound. |

He & this little girl took turns shopping and cashiering for about an hour. Ryan told her he had so many groceries because he had thirty kids. She told him if he had thirty kids he could have all the food for free. :-)

| The cutest optometrist ever... |
| Judge Ry |
| My personal favorite exhibit... harvest time at the pineapple plantation! |
| Our little tuktuk/jeepney driver! |
| Konnichiwa! |
| Our little newscaster |
Tech saavy I am not- I accidentally deleted all of our photos of the zoo (no biggie, someone didn't really care that he was there..all he wanted to do was race past all the animals so he could go to the playground). ;-)
| The weary traveler passed out on the airport floor waiting for our flight...guess that means he had fun! |
And last but not least...a few videos!
Ryan calls himself "Chip Monster" (after Cookie Monster) and loves to eat chips this way!
