New Zealand Day 3 (Auckland)

Our second day in Auckland was very low key since we were all pretty tired from the prior day's drama (ham smuggling, running, fainting, puking, etc.), so we slept in late before heading over to the tallest building in Auckland- the Sky Tower. It was $28 per person to go up, so Rich and I figured we'd bow out and send Ryan up with my parents instead, since I think we've been up enough pricey towers in our life (Sears, Empire State, Stratosphere, Eiffel, Tokyo, etc.).

We thought they'd be up there for at most, an hour,  but they were up there for nearly two (we cruised the city while we waited). Apparently our usual little daredevil drew the line at walking along the glass floor up there... ;-)

Later that day, we took Ryan to Victoria Park (which eagle-eyed Ryan had spied the day prior when we ran past it). Ryan just HAD to go there, because apparently we don't have any parks in Hawaii. ;-)

After nearly an hour of romping with him, we got a little tired/nauseous and luckily spied a few huge trees nearby that were begging to be climbed.

I asked Ryan to help daddy come down
He did a poor job.
Though I love my son dearly, I praise God that once we done tree climbing that he found two other kids to play with for another hour (interestingly enough, they were both Japanese kids who lived there and knew each other).

That night was early to bed since we had an early morning road trip out to the countryside..
