Days 7 & 8 - Fontucky

The first person we saw in CA that evening we arrived (after another 3+ hour drive) was Ryan's godmother, my BFF and my fellow coworker.  She immediately won us over with her homemade veggie lasagna and freshly baked cheesecake (which I ate with each meal every day we were there, because I'm pretty sure is doctor recommended...it being dairy and all). Kathy asked what Ryan liked to do, and searched out perfect matches for him over the next day and a half.

Stop #1 - Trampoline Park!!! (He's been a few times and LOVES going...)

Stop #2 was a Dave & Busters (of course) and then lunch at...Rainforest Cafe! Sure it's a little kitschy and overpriced with mediocre food, but I, I mean, kids love it anyway! I had the portabella mushroom wrap with a side of steamed veggies and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! It's become a tradition to go there with my CA homies Kathy and Jackie. :-) And later that night we had our first visit to a Yogurtland (I'm now a fan).

We also did a little bit of shopping at all the stores we never get to see in the islands to stock up for Rich's upcoming 80s birthday bash.

The next day, while Rich and I drove down to Orange County to visit Rich's dad, Kathy took Ryan back to Dave & Busters again, Diary Queen to get high on sugar with some ice cream, and then let him cruise around the mall for 30 min riding this funky little dog (it's a mechanical dog that rolls through the mall). LOVE the pics and video she sent me of him having a ball!

I have the best bestie in the world...thank you, KT for the cheesecake, for spoiling my son with an Easter basket, the kinetic sand kit, ice cream and video games!!! (Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but you'll be here soon, right? You don't want Ryan to collapse in a heap, again do you?)

I am so late in commenting but love the pics you posted. But most of all LOVED seeing you. My day alone with Ryan was so great and special. I couldn't love him more.
