- Ryan's adorable friend from school (with the world's cutest laugh) and her sister ringing our doorbell today and surprising us with a bag of the most beautiful sugar cookies I've seen! (Santa will not be getting to see or taste these.)
- Our neighbor Joanna's tin of three uniquely delicious, melt in your mouth cookies. Whipped shortbread?! I've died and gone to Heaven.
- Being a team with my husband. We bicker like anyone else (you know, once a year or so), and don't always see eye to eye (he just doesn't love Trump like I do...), but at the end of the day, I love knowing that he's always looking out for me.
- Having a day to rest and recover. We've had some amazing gatherings this season, the other night's Pictionary game with improv friends & a disgusting round of Bean Boozled were just what we all needed!
- Watching the laughter of five kids trying to break apart a gingerbread house (pre-assembled, apparently with superglue)!
- The rain that is falling right now. I'm always so grateful for the rain and natural resources that keep us alive!
- Having found a True Religion skirt for $3.12 at Goodwill the other day...I've never had my eye on the brand (if you know me, this is not even on my radar), but it was still a coup to find one at Goodwill in my size!
- That my son is still too young, and too sheltered from most materialism to care that half his wardrobe comes from big box retailers and Old Navy online. I'm so grateful he's not picky (yet)!
- Pokemon coming back. I didn't 'get' my youngest brother's obsession with it back in the day, but I get it better now. ;-) They're pretty cute and far more tolerable than 90% the other video games out there.
- My thoughtful presents from my husband...he got me a nice gift which hasn't arrived yet, but he got a few littles that were perfect! A pink rhinestoned, blinged out mouse (think Alicia Silverstone in 'Clueless'), some charcoal-based cleanser (I asked for it!) and a few of my favorite treats (coconut brittle).
- It's still chilly these days, total 'run' weather! Yesterday's run with Yuri felt like it 73 and it was heavenly.
- City lights. We don't have many (I think a Christmas tree may have more). But on the rare night I get to sit outside on our patio sofa and see them twinkling, I appreciate their simply beauty. They're like 'land stars'.

More Holiday Happiness
This hasn't quite been the holiday week I had in mind (mostly because Rich has been pretty sick for nearly two weeks), but it's still been pretty special and I have a lot to be grateful, for:
