It's how I roll
A few weeks ago my friend made an incredible beet salad with roasted, seasoned (olive oil, salt, pepper) beets brushed with red vinegar and fresh garlic, Greek yogurt, roasted walnuts and fresh, chopped dill.
Ms. Lazy Pants loved it so much, but figured she could buy those pre-cooked, plain organic beets from Costco (no roasting or seasoning, cause you know...roasting takes time and effort), use raw walnuts (cause you know...toasting takes time and effort) and dried dill from Target.
Though the salads I made (above) look tasty and are definitely healthy and low cal...they are most definitely NOT the same in taste. Mine are the lazy hippie version, which are a lot less delicious. But because chubby people usually aren't picky eaters...I think I can still step up to the plate and finish them off anyway.
But ultimately this...THIS is the story of my culinary life. LOFTY GOALS watered down by laziness and impatience.
