This may have been our most festive October, ever. It kicked off with the fun and games of Ironman with my Gatorade sweat test/swag, and stumbling upon all my Coeur bargains, Rich flying to CA to surprise his brother for his 50th birthday, and then Halloween and the Kona Lantern parade and Ryan's karate tournament.
Just when I was worried Ryan wouldn't be that into the holiday anymore (he was lukewarm, initially), I was happy that he had so many Halloween activities. It kicked off with annual trek to the Keauhou Shopping Center pa'ina with family/friends, followed by a Halloween party with his taiko group, pumpkin carving with his sister from another mister, school festivities, and ended with trick-or-treating with friends.
I even got into the spirit this year- I dressed up for work *gasp* (a first?), AND trick or treating (also rare these days).

| Yes, those are the adorable nieces in Disney princess attire- Cinderella and Elsa, to be exact. |
| Ryan said, "Momo chose level 4 difficulty for her carving! I chose level 1!!!" THAT'S MY BOY. |
| I had to get into my 'Gertrude' character, who is NOT happy about Halloween because all those brats always trample her rose bushes asking for free candy! (And back in the day, she had WORK to get candy...not go around begging for free candy, dammit.) Thank God Trump is in office to help get us all back on track. Maybe he can help lower the price of Gertrude's Metamucil! |
| Gertrude would rather stay at home with her five cats. They don't talk back. |

| I believe I'd mentioned how bright some of my new run gear is. It helps make the prefect, pastel unicorn outfit! I also learned it adds on another twenty pounds in a picture. I look wider than the front door. |
| Miracle of miracles...I made a home-cooked meal this month! We had a few friends over for sushi, and thank god one of them took a few pics, or I'd have had no evidence I cooked a meal in the latter part of 2019. |
| He also snapped this pic at dusk of the sun setting over the Pacific. Nights are notably cooler now, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have a bit of chill in the air (mainlanders, this means it's 72 in the morning, practically freezing and definitely time to whip out the space heaters). |
