Rich surprised us with a weekend getaway to the Hapuna Prince for our 21st anniversary. Because our manny cancelled at the last minute, it ended up being the three of us, and we had a blast. It got even better when my brother, his wife and their two girls joined us one day for swimming fun, lunch and ice cream after. The long weekend was topped off by an epic boat trip for the boys on the Fairwinds to Kealakekua Bay, where Ryan jumped off the high dive, snorkeled, saw dolphins and went down the slide. So all in all- a great way to cap off the end of May...
I will say that I had a very relaxing time, and it was just what the doctor ordered after a fairly busy month of work, life, celebrating Ry's (& 2 other friend's) birthdays, an anniversary, Boy's day and the end of school sleepover/festivities! May has always been a very fun month for our family, and I'm so grateful for the fun it brings us every year since Ryan came into our lives. Sometimes I think about what we'd be doing if we didn't have him, and I'm sure life would be a lot calmer, quieter, and less fun. ;-)
