August trapped in the attic (Month #5)

One of my favorite books as a teen was Flowers in the Attic, and the series it spawned. It was pretty twisted, but imaginative and captivating to someone growing up on a small island. Although there is none of the inheritance, incest or trauma of the Dollanganger family, nor the poisoned donuts...we are definitely as stuck on an island as they were in the attic.

If I'm being realistic, I don't see us going anywhere for a few years...so I'm very thankful we have pretty special place to enjoy while we're in relative isolation/quarantine from the rest of the world.

Beating the heat with his social bubble and two friends

Assisting his cousins doing back to school shopping, mostly serving as their personal assistant

Being put to work assembling the new counter stools for the kitchen

The smile masks the misery of being asked to help assemble things

Hitting the beach with his social bubble and scoring the hale away from the sun's rays!

Getting to turtle gaze while staying cool in the hale

Mountain hiking with the bubble...

Beach volleyball class from one of the kid's dads

Enjoying ice cold organic lemonade from his cousin's family/friends stand.

The little entrepreneurs

Hanging with his loyal bubble

Loving the free diving. He's even given up dairy to improve his breathing function. ;-)
