Parasailing

One of the few downsides to living on an island is not being easily able to afford many of the activities that are offered year round.  However, every once in a blue moon...some local companies will have 'kama'aina' (local resident) day where they drastically lower their prices for local residents (so they can experience their activity). In this way, Ry has been able to experience a glass bottom boat tour, a short catamaran ride, a submarine ride, and now...parasailing!

Loading up the speedboat
Going up, up and away!
They're about 800 feet up...
Nothing but smiles up there. This child generally has no fear.  :-)

Huge thanks to UFO Parasailing for helping out the kama'aina. We'll do our part to share the good word about how much fun it was with our friends, family and visitors. :-) And huge kudos to the photographer who managed with one, semi-sweaty hand to capture the fun without once dropping our camera into the beautiful blue sea. ;-)

Later that day, we also celebrated our 17th anniversary with dinner at Lotus Cafe (chicken satay, tofu pahd thai and coconut veggie curry with sticky rice if you're wondering) while Ry played at a friend's house.

So yeah, pretty much the perfect day. :-)

Happy 17th, to the baby daddy.

Not a lot of guys dig chics who look like dudes in geisha drag, but thank God one of them did back in 1997.
