This past week I was able to check something off my bucket list that I've been dreaming about for decades...
we went on an RV trip!

The reason this very short, last minute trip came about was because Rich knew he'd be very busy at work/rehearsal the week before his play opened. Purely by coincidence, my parents and brother Joey were going to be on an RV trip that very same week (Joey planned the trip for a Mothers & Fathers Day gift that all four kids chipped in to help pay for). Since Rich knew I'd been wanting to ride an RV for ages, he covertly planned to send us along on the ride.
So Ry and I flew up on a Friday, and spent the weekend in San Francisco hitting some of our favorite places-

Whole Foods
There's a new one right across the street from Joey's apartment that we hit three times while we were there. Mostly the buffet. ;-)

| The outlets! I rented a car for a few days since we don't all fit in Joey's Mini Cooper and Joey drove us out the inferno of Vacaville (it was 106 that day). I went a little nuts at the New Balance & the Columbia stores before wilting into a heap. |

Mission Dolores park (a 5-block walk)!

We also hit Trader Joe' & Chipotle (two other 'musts' for me on any trip to the mainland), and took my mom to her beloved Joann's and Michael's to stock up.
Then on Monday morning, Ry, my mom and I rode the Muni & BART out to Dublin to meet Joey & my dad (who drove Joey's car, packed from floor to ceiling with camping provisions). I was cracking up at how bored Ryan was on BART. I snapped these pics over the course of about 5 minutes of our nearly 60-minute ride.
(Warning: these pics are probably only entertaining to the parents and blood relatives of the boy.)

| He finally noticed what I was doing here and then began hot dogging for the camera. |
To be continued...
